Congratulations to Billy Rennie on appointment to Public Defender Panel

To the Editor:
On behalf of the State Bar of Georgia, I would like to offer congratulations to attorney William R. “Billy” Rennie of the Law Office of William R. Rennie LLC in Watkinsville on his appointment by Gov. Brian Kemp to serve on the Western Judicial Circuit Public Defender Supervisory Panel.
All residents of Athens-Clarke and Oconee counties will benefit from Mr. Rennie’s service on the panel, which works with the Georgia Public Defender Council to ensure that clients whose cases have been entrusted to a circuit public defender receive zealous, adequate, effective, timely and ethical legal representation, consistent with the constitutional guarantees of all Americans.
Mr. Rennie’s acceptance of this appointment is evidence of his dedication to serving the public and the justice system. We wish him well in this new capacity of leadership.
