To the Editor:
On behalf of the State Bar of Georgia, I would like to offer congratulations and thanks to Magistrate Judge J. Clay Fuller of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, on his retirement from the bench, which took effect April 1.
A graduate of the University of Georgia School of Law and a member of the Georgia Bar since 1999, Judge Fuller began his legal career with a clerkship for U.S. District Court Judge Richard W. Story, then entered private law practice in Columbus, where he focused on personal injury, products liability and class action cases. He was appointed to the federal bench in 2012 and reappointed in 2020. During his time on the bench, Judge Fuller handled thousands of cases from the Gainesville and Atlanta Divisions.
We salute Judge Fuller on his exemplary career in public service and his many contributions to the betterment of our justice system. We wish him well in all future endeavors as he continues his career as a full-time neutral with JAMS in Atlanta.
Sincerely,
Ivy N. Cadle
President, State Bar of Georgia
