MORE INFOThe Supreme Court of Georgia, in partnership with Georgia Lawyers for the Rule of Law and the State Bar of Georgia, invite members of the Georgia legal community to join in celebrating Law Day 2026 on Friday, May 1, at 12 p.m. at the Nathan Deal Judicial Center in Atlanta. The event will be held in the Supreme Court courtroom and will feature a recommitment ceremony in which attending attorneys will retake their oath of admission to the bar, affirming their commitment to ethical conduct and to support and defend the Constitutions of the United States and the state of Georgia. The oath will be administered by Supreme Court of Georgia Justice Charles J. Bethel. Remarks will be given by State Bar President Christopher P. Twyman and YLD President Veronica R. Cox. Advance registration is requested—click here to register.
This year's Law Day theme—The Rule of Law and the American Dream—calls on all Americans to reflect on the foundational principle of the U.S. Constitution. For members of the legal profession, Law Day is an opportunity to reaffirm the values at the heart of their practice and their obligation to uphold the rule of law on behalf of the clients and communities they serve. The Supreme Court of Georgia, Georgia Lawyers for the Rule of Law and the State Bar of Georgia are proud to mark this occasion together, honoring the independent and impartial judiciary that remains the cornerstone of our democratic system.
