State Bar Operations During World Cup (June 11–July 19)

2026 cut out numbers as an American flag, soccer ball, Canadian flag and Mexican flag patterns glaon a football field
With the upcoming World Cup expected to significantly impact the downtown Atlanta area, including the State Bar Headquarters, we want to provide important information regarding access to the Bar Center and member services from June 11 through July 19.

Business Operations
The State Bar will remain fully open and operational during this time. While onsite staff presence at the Bar Center will be limited, Bar staff will be working remotely and are available during regular business hours. Members can expect the same level of service and responsiveness via email and phone.

Bar Center Access
Members may continue to access the building; however, please note that onsite staffing may be limited. Security personnel will be present to assist members and visitors as needed.

Conference Center
The Conference Center will be closed during this period, and no meetings or events will be held at the Bar Center.

Parking

Members may continue to park at the Bar Center at no cost. However, due to increased demand and the parking deck being open to the public during this time, parking will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. We encourage you to plan accordingly, as parking availability cannot be guaranteed. Please be sure to bring your Bar Card and a valid ID, as you may be asked to present them for entry.

  • All parking deck elevators will be out of service on Saturday, June 20, for regularly scheduled testing. Anyone parking in the deck that day must use the stairs. If you are planning to use the deck that day, try to park on levels two/three, closest to the exits, in order to minimize walking.
We believe this approach allows us to maintain continuity of operations while navigating the unique challenges anticipated during the World Cup. If you have any questions or need assistance, please contact Executive Director Damon Elmore at damone@gabar.org or Chief Operating Officer Sarah Coole at sarahc@gabar.org
